Well, what can we say about bombshells that you guys don’t already know?  We love to shoot them, they are so much fun.  We laugh a lot, we have heart to heart talks, we listen to music and dance.  Usually the bombshell ladies start out nervous but in the end walk out knowing that they are some stunningly beautiful and sexy ladies.

The very best part the bombshell sessions is…sometimes the bombshells give their albums to their man, and then we get to hear about their reaction.

This year we decided to mix it up a little and try out the Formal Affair Bridal Show versus our usual Pink Bridal Show.  We have spent months planning and designing our booth, handouts, and business cards…and also did a little website revamp to go along with the new look.  This was our third bridal show and we felt pretty confident about how things were going to turn out…it seems the more you do these things, the less nerve wracking they are.  We felt extremely lucky to have such a great spot in the Chattanooga Convention Center, our booth had great visibility!  We got to meet so many excited and starry eyed brides-to-be…the show really got us all excited about all things wedding related and about this upcoming wedding season!  We really have a great feeling about this year!

Here is a little sample of how our booth went from blah to…BOOM…or should we say BLOOM!!  A big thank you goes out to Kevin, Jacob, and Chad for being our muscles and getting all the big stuff down there for us.  And another big thank you goes to Miss Lyndi, she is always a huge help setting up.  And last but not least, thank you to Dawn for helping us with our flowers!

Once a year we as a nation get to collectively pause, take a moment out of our hectic lives, look at the people we hold most dear and declare to them, “HAPPY VALENTINES DAY.  I love you!”.

One of our beloved clients, Tiffany (who you may remember from this post: http://bloomphotography.org/2013/01/tiffany-mark-tied-the-knot/) decided to boldy go where she had never gone before and surprise her hubby Mark with a little bombshell action!  She was super nervous for her session saying “I’m more nervous today than I was for my wedding!”…but by the end of the session she was relaxed and seemed to be actually enjoying her new bombshell self (gasp!).  Since we know Tiffany and Mark so well, we begged her to somehow…someway, put up a hidden camera to capture his reaction when he opens his gift.  She said she’d work on it.

Tiffany & Mark work long hours and it just worked out that they exchanged their Valentines presents a few days early.  And Tiff came through for us!

Meet Rachael and Matt. You may think they look familiar? Probably because we shot their engagement session in the early, early Spring of 2012. This couple is so sweet. Rachael is the most laid back bride we think we have ever met! She is so simple yet so beautiful. Matt her new hubs is quite the character! He is in our United States military. He’s got jokes to last all day long. I guess you could say he’s a real charmer. Such a nice guy! He really is!

The year of 2012 brought lots of military couples and weddings our way. Which we don’t mind! They are always so romantical  (we made that word up). Rachael and Matt got married at Patten Chapel. We love that church! So much history, so much texture. We could go on and on about that church. Their reception was at Tennessee River Place. Another beautiful venue. We were water side on the beautiful day of September 29th, 2012. Late summer, early Fall. Wonderful weather for an out door reception. The ceremony was gorgeous and so was the reception. Their bridal party was so much fun. They really have the dance moves! AND Matt and Rachael pulled out some classic dance moves of their own!  We can’t say enough good things about this wedding. Congrats Rachael and Matt!

We have known Noah since he was a wee little baby, I believe it was when he was 3 months old and came to our Spring Mini sessions back in 2011. We can’t believe he is already 2! Oh how the time flies when you have little ones! Noah’s mom, Melissa had contacted us back around the holidays asking if  we could shoot his 2nd birthday party and we said “you betcha!”. We would never miss out on a birthday party, Especially Noah’s! He has so many fun expressions and is ALL BOY! So, Happy 2nd Birthday Noah! We hope we will get to photograph all your milestones!

Happy Monday! Skye here, I want you to meet Eric, Stephanie and their baby bump. Eric and Stephanie are fun loving, sweet, adoring, and quirky in their own way. They are one of my most favorite couples i’ve had the chance to work with. For real though! I have known Stephanie since we worked together waaay back in the day at the good ole Olive Garden. Yup, That’s right folks. We used to sling bread sticks and toss salads! That was 8+ years ago though. Wow! How times have changed. I now have a baby, Clair and Stephanie isn’t far off from holding their wee little bundle of baby in her arms.

When Stephanie had contacted us about shooting baby bump photos I got all excited! I was seriously giddy inside. Stephanie and Eric are that couple that you feel like you’ve known for forever even if you haven’t. On my way to shoot their photos at Harrison Bay it looked like it was going to come a torrential down pour. Luckily it DIDN’T! Thank the lord. But I am super glad it was over cast because the sky looked awesome in the photos.

Once parked Stephanie and Eric jumped out and we got things started. I’ve actually never seen a pregnant girl move so fast! Not even myself back in the day. Stephanie was saying she was having a bad hair day because of this crazy January weather here in TN. It was about 70 degrees last Saturday. I’ll say this much though… I wish my hair looked like hers on a bad day. She looked like she just fell out of a hair magazine or off the red carpet! Simply Beautiful. In some of these I personally think she resembles Jennifer Aniston. You’ll see! Stephanie is so fun! I wish I could hang out with her on a daily basis. Eric, her other half warmed up to me after about 10 minutes or so. Guys usually don’t understand the importance of “Maternity” sessions. He was a bit quiet at first but I can be a lot to take in at first so i won’t give him to much grief about that. He was a good sport. Eric was the perfect model husband, cooperated and did great! Thanks Eric! )

Stephanie and Eric have such a fun relationships. There was always smiling, joking and laughing going on! Their sweet baby boy sure is coming into a wonderful home. Congrats Stephanie & Eric. I can’t wait to meet him! Oh and I’m not saying his name because I forgot if it is a secret or not.

Oh and there’s a photo we took of a fortune they opened a few days before the shoot from a fortune cookie and it couldnt have been more fitting!

The couple you are about to meet both are in our armed forces. They were over seas when they were planning their wedding. When we met Alicia and had our bridal consultation at our studio with her, Dee and I were both almost in tears hearing about Alicia and Rod and how they met and were in the military and were deployed and so on and so on. This is some good strong love right here folks!  Their whole story seemed like a book that had come to life.

Rod and Alicia’s wedding was oh so fabulous and so much more. They got married on June 2nd 2012 (if you read our post before this then you will know that this was our second wedding that weekend. We call these a double header!) at a church in down town Chattanooga,TN. When we arrived all the ladies were running around getting ready, The smell of hair spray and heat of curling irons were coming from the rooms they were in. We swept her dress and shoes away to take detailed photos of those, Before we knew it the men were arriving looking fly as ever. (I just used the word fly… I feel old. ANYHOW, Everyone was dressed to impress. We took a few bridal portraits and group shots then it was time for the I Do’s and smoochy smoochy, kissy kissy!

Their reception was at the Hunter Art Museum. WOW! It was so pretty. We love that venue and the King wedding made us love it even more! Eating some scrumptious food took place, and we arn’t going to lie. We took a 10 minute break and had some of that delicious food. Num Num Num. It was good! Toasts were made and then the dancing and groovin started!

Alicia & Rod had a little surprise. Bobby Valentino made an appearance!!!! He’s a singer if you haven’t heard of him, but how could you not!? This was definitely a wedding we will always remember! Congrats Alicia and Rod. We love yall!

Swoon! That word seems very fitting for these 2! First let us tell you about how we met Tiffany.  She found our ad in the Blush magazine  and came in for a wedding consultation when we had our studio down on Market Street in down town Chattanooga,TN. We knew 2 minutes into our conversation with her that we had a connection and her wedding was going to be #1 gorgeous and #2 FUN!

Back in May of 2012 we shot Tiffany’s bridal photos which were completely stunning! We mean like take your breath away gorgeous!  She had them shot at a nice mansion in Lookout Valley/ Tiftonia TN. We haven’t yet uploaded those to the blog though. Soon we will be searching through out external hard drive for those babies because they are to pretty to kept hidden away! Plus we need them to make prints for the 2013 Bridal Affair Show that we will have a booth in on February 17th 2013.

Tiffany & Mark got married on June 1st which was a Friday. We love Friday weddings! We really do. Skye was 8 months pregnant and about as big as a house. But that didn’t stop the great photo taking that Bloom does.  The ceremony and reception were at the Tennessee River Place. Its so pretty out there. Right on the TN river and its in the green lush valley of the pretty Chattanooga mountains. The weather was more than perfect and everything was set up to perfection. When we think of a late Spring wedding this is the type of wedding that comes to mind.

Mark and his men were looking as fresh as ever! (Yes, we just used the word fresh) Tiffany and her ladies were breath taking. FOR REAL! You’ll soon see below when you see these photos. They had a bag pipe player there and everything. This wedding was balling! It really was. They said their I Do’s, Kissed and headed over to the reception where everyone danced the night away. Literally! DJ Scuba Steve kept the tunes a comin. He’s great at what he does! But before the night came to an end Mark had a super fun surprise up his sleeve. Tiffany loves some Beiber!  So mark  had a hat spray painted with  Justin Bieber   nd DJ Scuba Steve played a Beiber song while Mark danced around and sang to it and the guarder toss took place. It was great! It really was!

When shooting sessions outside we can’t always make mother nature cooperate. So some of our 2012 Spring Mini sessions had to be rescheduled which are the following sweet, understanding, lovely families shown below. Thank yall for working around mother nature with us. Yall are simply wonderful!
