I(Skye) have known Nick and Becky for a hot minute to say the least. So this is going to be a bit lengthy but its totally worth the read!

Meet Becky and Nick, My other half Kevin and I(Skye)  have known Nick for the last 4  1/2 years. When we lived in Murfreesboro,TN  Nick was our neighbor that lived across the hall on the first floor. Kevin and I had some fun times with Nick. Such as… The mud bogs, What are mud bogs you may be thinking or asking? Well they are just this… Way out in Woodbury,TN  on Saturday nights every Dodge, Chevy and Ford truck in the 100 square mile area show up to see who can make it through this HUGE mud pit! We’re talking 8 ft deep trenches and 150 feet long!(I think my measurements are accurate?)  To say the least its kind of  country, Ok who am I kidding? Its a redneck thing. But we thoroughly enjoyed those Saturday nights. Then there were the Saturdays at the apartment pool, Boating days on the weekend on Nicks niiiiiice boat at party cove on Percy Priest lake, Nascar truck races  at the Nashville speedway and the everyday grilling out on our first floor apartment patios. First floor at Across Creek at Victory Station was where it was at back in the day.

Kevin and I eventually moved from the apartment complex and so did Nick ,But we kept in touch and still hung out. One evening we were having Nick and friends over and were going to have a  camp fire and grill out and Nick mentioned he was going to bring a lady along to accompany him.  Booooooy, was I ever excited! Another girl to talk to and not listen to guy talk! I was in heaven! Hang on! It gets better! Then when they arrived  After talking with this new fun girl in my life I discovered Becky was a Vet! OH boy, Now this was awesome because I had ALWAYS wanted to be a vet, having 5 dogs and horse, go figure! There was no question after meeting Becky the first time I knew she was a keeper for Nick! Becky is so down to earth and honest as ole Abraham himself. Becky is fun, genuine and kind hearted.

So now 4 1/2  years later here we all are. Becky and Nick Got engaged! One day back in the early Fall of 2012 Becky called me up and asked if we would be coming up to celebrate with them for the wedding, and that’s when we all decided I would shoot the wedding for them.

Becky and Nick are great. They really are. I think its important in a relationship to have a balance. These 2 have this balance. They have the spark, they have the twinkle, they have their moments where I’m sure they want to peel the skin off of each other like every other couple does but whats important about these 2 is that they have that balance. I am so happy for Becky and Nick, I REALLY am!

This precious little gal’s name is Avarie.  You may recognize her from her newborn photos.  You don’t?  Ok, well let’s refresh your memory then…

Since we are a little (OK, A LOT!) behind on blogging this slideshow is from when Avarie was 6 months old.  And this coming Saturday we will get to document her at her one year mark!  It is such a great job we have to be able to see little ones grow up before our eyes!  At her six month session it was all spring time flowers and pretty frilly outfits and she was a big girl pulling up on the chair and hanging out there all by herself!  And JUST LOOK at the photos of her in her basketball outfit!  PRECIOUS!  We could just squeeze those little legs of hers in those tube socks.  Her Mom Kari had quite a hard time finding such tiny little tube socks, but they were sure worth the hard work!

Happy Birthday Avarie!  You are sure growing up to be a precious little lady!

Well, what can we say about bombshells that you guys don’t already know?  We love to shoot them, they are so much fun.  We laugh a lot, we have heart to heart talks, we listen to music and dance.  Usually the bombshell ladies start out nervous but in the end walk out knowing that they are some stunningly beautiful and sexy ladies.

The very best part the bombshell sessions is…sometimes the bombshells give their albums to their man, and then we get to hear about their reaction.

If you take a moment and watch this slideshow you will know that we had nothing but positive responses.

This year we decided to mix it up a little and try out the Formal Affair Bridal Show versus our usual Pink Bridal Show.  We have spent months planning and designing our booth, handouts, and business cards…and also did a little website revamp to go along with the new look.  This was our third bridal show and we felt pretty confident about how things were going to turn out…it seems the more you do these things, the less nerve wracking they are.  We felt extremely lucky to have such a great spot in the Chattanooga Convention Center, our booth had great visibility!  We got to meet so many excited and starry eyed brides-to-be…the show really got us all excited about all things wedding related and about this upcoming wedding season!  We really have a great feeling about this year!

Here is a little sample of how our booth went from blah to…BOOM…or should we say BLOOM!!  A big thank you goes out to Kevin, Jacob, and Chad for being our muscles and getting all the big stuff down there for us.  And another big thank you goes to Miss Lyndi, she is always a huge help setting up.  And last but not least, thank you to Dawn for helping us with our flowers!

Hello All. Let us start off by saying we have MISSED you all. We have also missed our blog. Let us explain our absence. Boy oh boy has 2012 been a year for the books! Our very own Skye(Me) had a wee little baby girl, Clair Browning Stone was born on July 4th, 2012 at 2:59 a.m.  I didn’t come back to work until the beginning of September, So Dee ran the show for a while. I guess you could say we kinda went on a hiatus. But now we are back in the saddle? …  Lets just say we are behind the lens! )

We couldn’t have better clients! We really couldn’t! Once we were back from our mini summer vacation e mails starting filling up our in boxes morning after morning and before we knew it, Fall Mini time had arrived! We held them at Red Clay State Park. I think we had a week break before it was time to start our Christmas sessions. They were fabulous as always. But wait, wait, wait! We need to back up a little bit and give yall and update on the sessions we had before we went on our mini summer vacation and before our Fall and Christmas sessions. I don’t really know if having a baby qualifies as a vacay though? Because I didn’t and haven’t really had any relaxation time since the beginning of July.

Anyhow,

The next posts we will be updating will be all of our sessions from April-December of this year(2012). We weren’t terribly busy do to me and my baby bump. We scheduled lightly in the Spring and early summer of this year. But buddy, once September hit it was back on! So enjoy the next posts we will be adding from all the past sessions and weddings from 2012.

Oh but wait, I guess first we will leave you with a few newborn photos and 2 month photos of baby Clair for everyone who hasn’t seen her. Dee and I can’t believe she is almost 6 months!

Finally, it’s getting closer to that time of year again friends.  This Tennessee heat and humidity will go away, all of the trees will begin to change colors…the whole skyline will be yellow, red, orange.  We can’t wait for fall!!  Since we are so excited about it this year, our Fall Mini Sessions are gonna be extra special.

As you know usually a “Mini Session” means, shorter time…but this year, there will be nothing mini about our sessions but the price.

We are offering our full hour session time which allows ample time for an outfit change, allows time for crying babies to calm down, and time for more locations to visit.  Sometimes (most times) we left our past mini sessions thinking…I wish we had more time with them.  It wasn’t fair to our clients, and we are sort of perfectionists and expect the best from ourselves, so we are changing it.

Along with a longer time, you will get a disc of the best images (at least 25) from the session, an 8×10 print of your favorite image, and a printable holiday greeting card template featuring the same favorite image.  We are offering this at the deeply discounted price of $100.00 (plus tax).

Perhaps the most exciting thing about this session is that the locations will be styled.  We are going for an overall organic, warm and cozy, rich autumn look.  We have been working on lots of fun ideas and different ‘location/stations’ so that you get a variety of looks.  We are so excited!!

We are going to be doing lots of DIY projects for this session, and we will blog our progress.  And also, be on the lookout for fall “What to Wear” session inspiration posts!

Flowers, horses, wedding dress, oh my!  In the spirit of wedding season we decided to do our own little boho inspired bridal shoot.  So we got up early in the morning (like 5AM) and got this thing going!  We had so much fun, here are some of the best images of the day.  Enjoy!  HAPPY WEDDING SEASON, ALL!  XOXO

We have known this little guy for a long time.  We first met him when he was still in his Mommy’s belly, for maternity photos.  Then we officially met him for his newborn photos.  His Mom and Dad are some of our biggest fans, so we get to see this precious family all the time.  We’ve seen baby Ben grow and change so fast it’s unreal.

It’s so hard to believe our little guy is turning 1.

I celebrate this joyous occasion, we had him in the studio for a little smash cake session.  There is nothing more precious than when the lightbulb goes off and the look says ‘you mean I’m supposed to eat this with my hands…and make a mess?’.

Baby Ben took his job to heart, and totally rocked this session.  We can’t wait for his actual birthday party, so stay tuned for photos from that too!
