This year we decided to mix it up a little and try out the Formal Affair Bridal Show versus our usual Pink Bridal Show.  We have spent months planning and designing our booth, handouts, and business cards…and also did a little website revamp to go along with the new look.  This was our third bridal show and we felt pretty confident about how things were going to turn out…it seems the more you do these things, the less nerve wracking they are.  We felt extremely lucky to have such a great spot in the Chattanooga Convention Center, our booth had great visibility!  We got to meet so many excited and starry eyed brides-to-be…the show really got us all excited about all things wedding related and about this upcoming wedding season!  We really have a great feeling about this year!

Here is a little sample of how our booth went from blah to…BOOM…or should we say BLOOM!!  A big thank you goes out to Kevin, Jacob, and Chad for being our muscles and getting all the big stuff down there for us.  And another big thank you goes to Miss Lyndi, she is always a huge help setting up.  And last but not least, thank you to Dawn for helping us with our flowers!

Get used to this beautiful couple’s face, because you will see them again when they get hitched this coming fall.  We have been trying for months to get a session with these two lovelies, but it seems old man winter and mother nature had other plans for us!  We were all kind of glad the session got delayed because if it were not for the delay…we would not have been able to have this warm and fabulous magic hour lighting that only the spring and summer months can provide.

We met Matt and Rachel at the park and they brought their 3 BEAUTIFUL pups…at first we were like “3 dogs…let’s hope this goes well!”  but these dogs were so well behaved.  They posed like old pros.  The session from beginning to end was filled with laughter, and you can tell in these photos that we all had fun.  We are honored that they have chose us to capture their wedding day too!  We absolutely can’t wait for your wedding Matt and Rachel, it’s going to be SO MUCH FUN!

Carrie and Josh. Oh how we love thee. Let us count the ways. From Carries bubbly fun personality to Josh’s shy demeanor around us they just make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside! They really, really do!  All jokes aside. We Promise!

We actually met Carrie and Josh at the wedding of Katie and Andy Giffin that we shot this past summer of 2011. Carrie was a brides maid and of course Josh was her date. We we already feel like we know them.

We met with Carrie and Josh at the beginning of Fall end of summer this past year and talked all things weddings. Luckily with our fingers crossed they booked us for their big wedding shabang. Wahoo!

The slang “Wedding shabang” includes not only the wedding coverage and festivities but also the engagement photos which is what we shot  in early November.  The weather was perfect. Carrie looked adorable as usual and Josh was starting to really warm up to us. By wedding day, We will probably feel like one big happy family.

Meet Brandy and Chris, Brandy found out about us through a family friend. Brandy and Chris will be tying the knot In November. We are so super excited that we not only got to photography there engagement photos but will also be photographing their wedding day!

Brandy and Chris were a littler nervous  the morning of their session and it was of course 40 degrees the morning it was scheduled! Poor Brandy about froze to death and Chris wasn’t to excited about the whole photo taking all together. But we managed to pull some smiles out of him and once the sun came out Brandy really warmed up to us!  You Can’t even tell it was cold outside!  Have fun looking at this sweet couples session.

First of all we want to say Congratulations to Kalyn and Ryan on their engagement and THANK YOU SO MUCH for involving us in your celebration.  It was so much fun.

Meet Kalyn & Ryan…they got engaged and had quite the shindig.  Thankfully the Bloom gals were there to document this amazing celebration.  When we spoke with Kalyn to confirm everything we were told to meet them at the penthouse (a.k.a party room) on the roof of a swanky North Shore apartment complex.  We were to bring photobooth props & lighting, and to be prepared for fun (200 bottles of wine type fun).  Um…yes, please and thank you!  The minute we pulled up we knew we were in for a blast of a night… and once we navigated our way through the complex (which turns out was quite a chore with all the stuff we had)  and made it to the room we were amazed.  It was beautiful, the decorations, the view, everything….

Kalyn decorated it all herself which is amazing.  She really could and should be an event planner…well…with her sparkling personality, she could do just about anything.  She is quite the hostess, immediately making us feel like we belong there.  She was dressed to the 9′s in a snazzy blue dress and matching heels.  And her soon-to-be-hubby Ryan?  He’s perfect for her and he just may be the sweetest guy ever.  Sweet as in if you were to hug him a big teddy bear hug will only do kind of sweet (I didn’t hug him, but I imagine this to be true).  It is my belief that together, they could totally have their own (successful) reality show.  The show would be about being a young, engaged, fun, loving couple…happily living in the Northshore penthouse with the best view of Chattanooga.  Ahh…Can’t you just see it?

Ok…wait…back to the party…

Once we got in and settled the celebration began…and it looked a little something like this….CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!!  We can’t wait for the wedding!

Flowers, horses, wedding dress, oh my!  In the spirit of wedding season we decided to do our own little boho inspired bridal shoot.  So we got up early in the morning (like 5AM) and got this thing going!  We had so much fun, here are some of the best images of the day.  Enjoy!  HAPPY WEDDING SEASON, ALL!  XOXO

How did we get so lucky and book all the beautiful brides-to-be and handsome future grooms?  Take this next couple for example, Bailey & Traverse…they are just downright gorgeous!  Luckily, we are going to be documenting their big day too!  Bailey and Trav (can we call you Trav?) came into town from Murfreesboro on a bright and sunny Sunday.  Skye went here, there, and everywhere snapping shots of this adorable couple.  They are both so sweet and energetic, that the shoot seemed to fly by.

Meet Ashley and  Marshall!

Ashley met Marshall through his parents company.  They have been dating for a little while now and Marshall thought it was a good time to tie the knot.  He proposed to Ashley from a tree stand by a little bridge out on his families farm in Birchwood, TN.  We had the honor of going to the farm to do the engagement photos there.  It is absolutely gorgeous!

Ashley and Marshall are one of those couples that puts an automatic smile on your face when you look at them. They are so sweet and just give you the best feeling when you’re around them.  We had so much fun at the engagement session. I believe we laughed the entire time!  We can only hope that they choose us to document one of the most important days of their lives.
