Precious. Simply precious. Brynleigh is precious, her parents Drew and Kayla are precious. Just such a precious family. So sweet and welcoming. Brynleigh Faith Akins was born on February 8, 2013 at 8:15 am weighing 6 pounds, 1 ounce and 18.5 inches long. Tiny little thing she was and still is! She was only a week early too. I guess Brynleigh was also an early Valentines day gift. I’ve gotta say that is probably THE BEST  Valentines day gift ever for Drew and Kayla.

Brynleigh was so itty bitty. Tiniest little toes and fingers, She gave a few smiles once she got nice and comfy during the shoot. She also wanted to see all the action. We guess she didn’t get the memo about going to sleep. We had a few “Awe” moments and we also had a few good belly laughs during the session. You see, when Drew was holding Brynleigh  she took a little pee pee on him. Drew was a trooper. He didn’t freak out as Kayla and I laughed hysterically. He changed shirts and we just kept shooting the session. Way to go Drew! And hey, WAY TO GO KAYLA! You look like you never had a baby! You go girl!

So anyhow this is the precious Akin’s family with their newest addition Brynleigh. Like we said earlier and time and time again. Precious.

Hello All. Let us start off by saying we have MISSED you all. We have also missed our blog. Let us explain our absence. Boy oh boy has 2012 been a year for the books! Our very own Skye(Me) had a wee little baby girl, Clair Browning Stone was born on July 4th, 2012 at 2:59 a.m.  I didn’t come back to work until the beginning of September, So Dee ran the show for a while. I guess you could say we kinda went on a hiatus. But now we are back in the saddle? …  Lets just say we are behind the lens! )

We couldn’t have better clients! We really couldn’t! Once we were back from our mini summer vacation e mails starting filling up our in boxes morning after morning and before we knew it, Fall Mini time had arrived! We held them at Red Clay State Park. I think we had a week break before it was time to start our Christmas sessions. They were fabulous as always. But wait, wait, wait! We need to back up a little bit and give yall and update on the sessions we had before we went on our mini summer vacation and before our Fall and Christmas sessions. I don’t really know if having a baby qualifies as a vacay though? Because I didn’t and haven’t really had any relaxation time since the beginning of July.

Anyhow,

The next posts we will be updating will be all of our sessions from April-December of this year(2012). We weren’t terribly busy do to me and my baby bump. We scheduled lightly in the Spring and early summer of this year. But buddy, once September hit it was back on! So enjoy the next posts we will be adding from all the past sessions and weddings from 2012.

Oh but wait, I guess first we will leave you with a few newborn photos and 2 month photos of baby Clair for everyone who hasn’t seen her. Dee and I can’t believe she is almost 6 months!

Meet baby Heath. He’s such a pretty baby! So flawless, So soft. Now we know where the expression “Soft as a baby’s bottom” comes from. Baby’s like Heath! We showed up at their house on a Friday morning for Heaths session and boy was he content being at home. He didn’t make a peep, Just let us turn him and pose him at whatever way we needed.

Then he got a little hungry so we decided to take a small break before doing his photos with mom and dad. We took some of his room. It was so peaceful in there. Just like a baby’s room should be! We also let Brooke and Richard, Heaths momma and daddy lay and roll around on the bed with him for some cute family shots. We are so happy for the Henderson family and their newest member of the family. Congradulations Brooke and Richard!

Is he seriously not the most adorable baby you’ve seen!?

Yeah, We thought so too! From his head FULL of hair to his little itty bitty toes! When looking in the dictionary at the word perfection baby Coopers photo would be beside it staring at back you.

 Cooper was actually about 3 weeks old when these photos were taken. Why you may ask? Well you see, The Dr’s thought Cooper had twisted intestines so he had to go stay in the NICU for about a week. But he showed everyone what he was made of and come to find out everything was going to be ok! Kate & Johnny, Coopers momma and daddy needed a week to clam down and take it all in at home with him and just have Cooper all to themselves before getting back in the swing of things. Which do you blame them? We would have stayed at home for weeks with baby Cooper if he was ours! But then again he is too cute to keep at home so showing him off and getting newborn photos was a must!

We are so glad Kate & Johnny chose us to capture Cooper and his perfect newbornnesss. Congrats Carr family on your newest member of your family!

We know this sweet family through Dani’s Mom, and we are so thankful we got to document this moment in their lives.  Kari and Mika are the most genuine couple and they are very deserving of their beautiful little girl.

Kari had us over to her adorable house for some one on one time with little Avarie.  She is such an alert little girl, she was awake for the whole session!  Mika works as a fireman for Bradley County and was working that day so we headed on down to the station to snap a few of the family together and of sweet little Avarie with her Daddy.

We love babies.  We love their little fat rolls, how they coo, how they stretch when they wake up, their teeny tiny little fingers and toes.  We love taking photos of newborns even more.  So, in the spirit of loving all things baby…we are offering 20% off our sitting fee if you book your baby session in the month of February.  The only catch?  The babes have to be under one year old.  :)

Drum roll please!  Meet the Schexhildre family. We think they are just one of the sweetest families.  Baby Ella joined their family in the begining of December so she really was a nice little early Christmas present. Her big sister Annabell was such a big helper through out the whole photo session. She really loves baby Ella!

Ella at first didnt want anything to do with this photo session but mommy and daddy managed to calm her little soul, Then the magic happened and we captured the beauty of  this little angel, Ella.

Ocotober 6, 2011 at 12:13 pm, a very sweet little boy came into this world.  His name is Lucas Christopher Nicely, and he weighed in at 8 pounds 7 ounces, and was 20 inches long.  Lucas is a lucky lil guy, because was born into a pretty amazing family.

Jason, Kate, and big sister Bella kindly asked us to come over when Lucas was just a week old to take some family photos.  He behaved like an angel (well…until we tried to get him naked, lets just say he prefers clothes!).  The first thing we noticed was that he has perfect skin and a great ‘chilled out’ disposition.  Bella was so excited for the family pictures and we think you will be able to tell…she was grinning from ear to ear.

Congratulations Nicely family, you have a beautiful new addition.  Thank you for having us take your family photos.  We hope you all enjoy this little peek of their session.

Brooklyn has arrived world!  She came into this world about 4 weeks early on September 16th, 2011 at 1:15pm weighing in at  6lbs 2oz.  Welcome Brooklyn, Welcome. Isn’t she beautiful? Yes, we thought so too!

The day that Jennifer and Brian brought her down to the studio to have her newborn photos taken she was fit to be tied and not the happiest camper. After a bottle or 2, a diaper change, a little burping and daddy being the ” baby whisperer” she finally fell right to sleep and we started snapping away. Jennifer brought some of the sweetest little head bands and diaper covers to put her in.  Arn’t they adorable? Again, we thought so too!

She is such a gorgeous baby girl, and we just love the Ramsey family. We can’t wait to do more photos for them. That is one thing we REALLY love to do for families, Catch their little ones growing up because it really does happen to fast! Congratulations Jennifer & Brian!

She was in a hurry to get here, miss Malyn.  Her Mom, Nina went for a checkup and the doctors informed her to head on down to labor and delivery….it’s time.  She said “But she’s early”, and the doctor said, “But, it’s time.”  So, Nina texted husband Nick and went on down to the hospital.  Malyn entered the world not too long after that, healthy and happy and absolutely beautiful.

Maybe she decided to come early because she couldn’t wait to be with her family.  If we had to guess, that would be the reason.  Malyn’s Mom and Dad are neighbors of Dani’s, and they are truly some of the sweetest people on the face of the earth.  

Little Malyn is one lucky girl.  She also has 6 furry dog brothers and sisters, and they are living together in perfect harmony.  Malyn doesn’t even blink when they bark.  It’s pretty amazing.
