We decided to put up a very small teaser of Sarah and Jared’s wedding this past weekend at the Hunter Art Museum in downtown Chattanooga,TN. More to come in the next week! So be on the look out!

This year we decided to mix it up a little and try out the Formal Affair Bridal Show versus our usual Pink Bridal Show.  We have spent months planning and designing our booth, handouts, and business cards…and also did a little website revamp to go along with the new look.  This was our third bridal show and we felt pretty confident about how things were going to turn out…it seems the more you do these things, the less nerve wracking they are.  We felt extremely lucky to have such a great spot in the Chattanooga Convention Center, our booth had great visibility!  We got to meet so many excited and starry eyed brides-to-be…the show really got us all excited about all things wedding related and about this upcoming wedding season!  We really have a great feeling about this year!

Here is a little sample of how our booth went from blah to…BOOM…or should we say BLOOM!!  A big thank you goes out to Kevin, Jacob, and Chad for being our muscles and getting all the big stuff down there for us.  And another big thank you goes to Miss Lyndi, she is always a huge help setting up.  And last but not least, thank you to Dawn for helping us with our flowers!

Happy Monday! Skye here, I want you to meet Eric, Stephanie and their baby bump. Eric and Stephanie are fun loving, sweet, adoring, and quirky in their own way. They are one of my most favorite couples i’ve had the chance to work with. For real though! I have known Stephanie since we worked together waaay back in the day at the good ole Olive Garden. Yup, That’s right folks. We used to sling bread sticks and toss salads! That was 8+ years ago though. Wow! How times have changed. I now have a baby, Clair and Stephanie isn’t far off from holding their wee little bundle of baby in her arms.

When Stephanie had contacted us about shooting baby bump photos I got all excited! I was seriously giddy inside. Stephanie and Eric are that couple that you feel like you’ve known for forever even if you haven’t. On my way to shoot their photos at Harrison Bay it looked like it was going to come a torrential down pour. Luckily it DIDN’T! Thank the lord. But I am super glad it was over cast because the sky looked awesome in the photos.

Once parked Stephanie and Eric jumped out and we got things started. I’ve actually never seen a pregnant girl move so fast! Not even myself back in the day. Stephanie was saying she was having a bad hair day because of this crazy January weather here in TN. It was about 70 degrees last Saturday. I’ll say this much though… I wish my hair looked like hers on a bad day. She looked like she just fell out of a hair magazine or off the red carpet! Simply Beautiful. In some of these I personally think she resembles Jennifer Aniston. You’ll see! Stephanie is so fun! I wish I could hang out with her on a daily basis. Eric, her other half warmed up to me after about 10 minutes or so. Guys usually don’t understand the importance of “Maternity” sessions. He was a bit quiet at first but I can be a lot to take in at first so i won’t give him to much grief about that. He was a good sport. Eric was the perfect model husband, cooperated and did great! Thanks Eric! )

Stephanie and Eric have such a fun relationships. There was always smiling, joking and laughing going on! Their sweet baby boy sure is coming into a wonderful home. Congrats Stephanie & Eric. I can’t wait to meet him! Oh and I’m not saying his name because I forgot if it is a secret or not.

Oh and there’s a photo we took of a fortune they opened a few days before the shoot from a fortune cookie and it couldnt have been more fitting!

Hello All. Let us start off by saying we have MISSED you all. We have also missed our blog. Let us explain our absence. Boy oh boy has 2012 been a year for the books! Our very own Skye(Me) had a wee little baby girl, Clair Browning Stone was born on July 4th, 2012 at 2:59 a.m.  I didn’t come back to work until the beginning of September, So Dee ran the show for a while. I guess you could say we kinda went on a hiatus. But now we are back in the saddle? …  Lets just say we are behind the lens! )

We couldn’t have better clients! We really couldn’t! Once we were back from our mini summer vacation e mails starting filling up our in boxes morning after morning and before we knew it, Fall Mini time had arrived! We held them at Red Clay State Park. I think we had a week break before it was time to start our Christmas sessions. They were fabulous as always. But wait, wait, wait! We need to back up a little bit and give yall and update on the sessions we had before we went on our mini summer vacation and before our Fall and Christmas sessions. I don’t really know if having a baby qualifies as a vacay though? Because I didn’t and haven’t really had any relaxation time since the beginning of July.

Anyhow,

The next posts we will be updating will be all of our sessions from April-December of this year(2012). We weren’t terribly busy do to me and my baby bump. We scheduled lightly in the Spring and early summer of this year. But buddy, once September hit it was back on! So enjoy the next posts we will be adding from all the past sessions and weddings from 2012.

Oh but wait, I guess first we will leave you with a few newborn photos and 2 month photos of baby Clair for everyone who hasn’t seen her. Dee and I can’t believe she is almost 6 months!

The Bloom girls were so excited about our booth this year at the Chattanooga Pink Bridal show!  We made sure to take a few shots of our booth being set up (which went so smoothly thanks to Momma Lyndi Blair).  And thanks to Skye’s crafty boyfriend Kevin we had walls made, which was something we were wanting so badly for this year.  Here is the journey it took to set everything up:

And last but not least, the fabulous Veo Wedding and Event Planning.  Veronica graciously provided to flowers for our booth (which EVERYONE commented on!).  Thank you for helping us with our booth design and flowers!  We love you guys!

We are so happy to announce that we are in the process of training a very valuable new addition to our staff here at Bloom.  Help us welcome Miss Ryli Blair to our little Bloom family!

Ryli goes WAY back with us.  She and Skye are sisters so really they go back as far as Skye’s birth…and that’s a long time!  Ryli and Dani have been best friends since they were 16.  Ryli has really been there for Bloom behind the scenes since it’s beginning.  Ryli is a 5th grade teacher and lucky for us she has the summers off!  Bloom has been so blessed this past year and we were able to book 18 weddings!  We have worked very hard to give ALL our clients only the very highest quality images we can possibly provide.  Since we work so hard at that and we are just getting busier we have decided that it’s in our best interest to hire a new employee!  We feel so very happy to have her join our team.  So, new clients…get used to this face!   

Richard and Brooke are expecting a baby soon. Brook is so cute! We think she should be a pregnant model! Don’t you think so too? Just adorable. She’s all belly.  You can’t really even tell shes carrying baby until she turns around. We just love it!

Richard and Brooke’s chemistry between the 2 of them just amazed us. We would direct them into a “pose” and then they just knew how to add their own touch to it and personalize it. It was so easy giving them direction during the session.

We can’t wait until Brooke delivers baby. They weren’t 100% sure on a name yet so that is why we haven’t  mentioned one in the blog so far. But when baby does arrive we just bet it is going to be the cutest little thing!

Drum roll please!  Meet the Schexhildre family. We think they are just one of the sweetest families.  Baby Ella joined their family in the begining of December so she really was a nice little early Christmas present. Her big sister Annabell was such a big helper through out the whole photo session. She really loves baby Ella!

Ella at first didnt want anything to do with this photo session but mommy and daddy managed to calm her little soul, Then the magic happened and we captured the beauty of  this little angel, Ella.

Meet the beautiful Anderson family. Erika and Scott which are mom and dad make a cute couple if we do say so are self, Then you add miss Isabella and Mr little Christopher and Wala! You have an adorable family.

Erika and Scott wanted to have photos taken for Christopher’s 2 year birthday. So we focused mostly on this little man! Isn’t he just to cute for words!? We just wanted to pick him up and squeeze him. His blonde hair reminds us of warm summer weather at the beach. He reminded us of a little surfer baby.

We also added in some family photos and gave Isabella some attention as well. She was all about jumping in the leaves at the park. Look at these smiles on her face. Isn’t she precious? Yup. We thought so too!

Carrie and Josh. Oh how we love thee. Let us count the ways. From Carries bubbly fun personality to Josh’s shy demeanor around us they just make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside! They really, really do!  All jokes aside. We Promise!

We actually met Carrie and Josh at the wedding of Katie and Andy Giffin that we shot this past summer of 2011. Carrie was a brides maid and of course Josh was her date. We we already feel like we know them.

We met with Carrie and Josh at the beginning of Fall end of summer this past year and talked all things weddings. Luckily with our fingers crossed they booked us for their big wedding shabang. Wahoo!

The slang “Wedding shabang” includes not only the wedding coverage and festivities but also the engagement photos which is what we shot  in early November.  The weather was perfect. Carrie looked adorable as usual and Josh was starting to really warm up to us. By wedding day, We will probably feel like one big happy family.
