Amy & Chris. Such a sweet, simple and beautiful couple. Their wedding was at the Gordon Lee Mansion in Chickamauga Ga. It was supposed to be an out door wedding but when mother nature has different plans other than sunny weather you have to work around her. Luckily she was kind to us and anytime we were ready to shoot photos outside the rain would stop and we would all hurry outside to shoot beautiful photos and then hurry back inside like little mice! Everything about Amy and Chris’s day was perfect in our eyes. A little water droplets didn’t stop us! Enjoy!

Meet Sarah and Jared. We must say they are a perfect match. We only knew the 2 of them for 48 hours but we feel like we have known them for forever. We didn’t meet Sarah and Jared until the evening of their rehearsal the day before the wedding.

Sarah is so teeny tiny and elegant as can be. She reminded us of a princess. Her voice was gentle and soft. We personally don’t think she has a mean bone in her body. We also believe that she has been the most laid back bride we have ever worked with by far. We found out she is an avid runner! Sarah and some of her bridesmaids even went on a run the morning of the wedding. Go Sarah! Talk about someone who is passionate. We can’t even get in a run on a normal day let alone on a day we are shooting a wedding.

Ok, time to talk about Jared. He is a pretty nice guy himself. He gave us a few laughs while shooting his portraits. Jared and his grooms men had some jokes up their sleeves as well. But we must say they were very well behaved gentlemen. Jared wasn’t nervous in the least bit. He was grinning from ear to ear the whole time. Which for us, was great. Being that we are photographers and do need a smile here and there.

Their wedding and reception was held at the Hunter Art Museum in downtown Chattanooga,TN. It was the perfect weather! High 60′s into the low 70′s . Now that is what we are talking about when we say perfect wedding weather. Sarah and Jared got married that evening at 6pm with a Jewish ceremony.  Following the ceremony was a nice cocktail hour where everyone visited with the with new Mr. and Mrs. Barnett on the top of the Hunter Art Museum while the sun was setting.  GORGEOUS!  The reception was everything we expected and more! Everyone ate delicious foods,  amazing cake, danced to some funky songs,  and they even served fresh out of the oven hot chocolate chip cookies towards the end of the night . It was a fabulous night for sure.

We decided to put up a very small teaser of Sarah and Jared’s wedding this past weekend at the Hunter Art Museum in downtown Chattanooga,TN. More to come in the next week! So be on the look out!

I(Skye) have known Nick and Becky for a hot minute to say the least. So this is going to be a bit lengthy but its totally worth the read!

Meet Becky and Nick, My other half Kevin and I(Skye)  have known Nick for the last 4  1/2 years. When we lived in Murfreesboro,TN  Nick was our neighbor that lived across the hall on the first floor. Kevin and I had some fun times with Nick. Such as… The mud bogs, What are mud bogs you may be thinking or asking? Well they are just this… Way out in Woodbury,TN  on Saturday nights every Dodge, Chevy and Ford truck in the 100 square mile area show up to see who can make it through this HUGE mud pit! We’re talking 8 ft deep trenches and 150 feet long!(I think my measurements are accurate?)  To say the least its kind of  country, Ok who am I kidding? Its a redneck thing. But we thoroughly enjoyed those Saturday nights. Then there were the Saturdays at the apartment pool, Boating days on the weekend on Nicks niiiiiice boat at party cove on Percy Priest lake, Nascar truck races  at the Nashville speedway and the everyday grilling out on our first floor apartment patios. First floor at Across Creek at Victory Station was where it was at back in the day.

Kevin and I eventually moved from the apartment complex and so did Nick ,But we kept in touch and still hung out. One evening we were having Nick and friends over and were going to have a  camp fire and grill out and Nick mentioned he was going to bring a lady along to accompany him.  Booooooy, was I ever excited! Another girl to talk to and not listen to guy talk! I was in heaven! Hang on! It gets better! Then when they arrived  After talking with this new fun girl in my life I discovered Becky was a Vet! OH boy, Now this was awesome because I had ALWAYS wanted to be a vet, having 5 dogs and horse, go figure! There was no question after meeting Becky the first time I knew she was a keeper for Nick! Becky is so down to earth and honest as ole Abraham himself. Becky is fun, genuine and kind hearted.

So now 4 1/2  years later here we all are. Becky and Nick Got engaged! One day back in the early Fall of 2012 Becky called me up and asked if we would be coming up to celebrate with them for the wedding, and that’s when we all decided I would shoot the wedding for them.

Becky and Nick are great. They really are. I think its important in a relationship to have a balance. These 2 have this balance. They have the spark, they have the twinkle, they have their moments where I’m sure they want to peel the skin off of each other like every other couple does but whats important about these 2 is that they have that balance. I am so happy for Becky and Nick, I REALLY am!

This year we decided to mix it up a little and try out the Formal Affair Bridal Show versus our usual Pink Bridal Show.  We have spent months planning and designing our booth, handouts, and business cards…and also did a little website revamp to go along with the new look.  This was our third bridal show and we felt pretty confident about how things were going to turn out…it seems the more you do these things, the less nerve wracking they are.  We felt extremely lucky to have such a great spot in the Chattanooga Convention Center, our booth had great visibility!  We got to meet so many excited and starry eyed brides-to-be…the show really got us all excited about all things wedding related and about this upcoming wedding season!  We really have a great feeling about this year!

Here is a little sample of how our booth went from blah to…BOOM…or should we say BLOOM!!  A big thank you goes out to Kevin, Jacob, and Chad for being our muscles and getting all the big stuff down there for us.  And another big thank you goes to Miss Lyndi, she is always a huge help setting up.  And last but not least, thank you to Dawn for helping us with our flowers!

Meet Rachael and Matt. You may think they look familiar? Probably because we shot their engagement session in the early, early Spring of 2012. This couple is so sweet. Rachael is the most laid back bride we think we have ever met! She is so simple yet so beautiful. Matt her new hubs is quite the character! He is in our United States military. He’s got jokes to last all day long. I guess you could say he’s a real charmer. Such a nice guy! He really is!

The year of 2012 brought lots of military couples and weddings our way. Which we don’t mind! They are always so romantical  (we made that word up). Rachael and Matt got married at Patten Chapel. We love that church! So much history, so much texture. We could go on and on about that church. Their reception was at Tennessee River Place. Another beautiful venue. We were water side on the beautiful day of September 29th, 2012. Late summer, early Fall. Wonderful weather for an out door reception. The ceremony was gorgeous and so was the reception. Their bridal party was so much fun. They really have the dance moves! AND Matt and Rachael pulled out some classic dance moves of their own!  We can’t say enough good things about this wedding. Congrats Rachael and Matt!

The couple you are about to meet both are in our armed forces. They were over seas when they were planning their wedding. When we met Alicia and had our bridal consultation at our studio with her, Dee and I were both almost in tears hearing about Alicia and Rod and how they met and were in the military and were deployed and so on and so on. This is some good strong love right here folks!  Their whole story seemed like a book that had come to life.

Rod and Alicia’s wedding was oh so fabulous and so much more. They got married on June 2nd 2012 (if you read our post before this then you will know that this was our second wedding that weekend. We call these a double header!) at a church in down town Chattanooga,TN. When we arrived all the ladies were running around getting ready, The smell of hair spray and heat of curling irons were coming from the rooms they were in. We swept her dress and shoes away to take detailed photos of those, Before we knew it the men were arriving looking fly as ever. (I just used the word fly… I feel old. ANYHOW, Everyone was dressed to impress. We took a few bridal portraits and group shots then it was time for the I Do’s and smoochy smoochy, kissy kissy!

Their reception was at the Hunter Art Museum. WOW! It was so pretty. We love that venue and the King wedding made us love it even more! Eating some scrumptious food took place, and we arn’t going to lie. We took a 10 minute break and had some of that delicious food. Num Num Num. It was good! Toasts were made and then the dancing and groovin started!

Alicia & Rod had a little surprise. Bobby Valentino made an appearance!!!! He’s a singer if you haven’t heard of him, but how could you not!? This was definitely a wedding we will always remember! Congrats Alicia and Rod. We love yall!

Swoon! That word seems very fitting for these 2! First let us tell you about how we met Tiffany.  She found our ad in the Blush magazine  and came in for a wedding consultation when we had our studio down on Market Street in down town Chattanooga,TN. We knew 2 minutes into our conversation with her that we had a connection and her wedding was going to be #1 gorgeous and #2 FUN!

Back in May of 2012 we shot Tiffany’s bridal photos which were completely stunning! We mean like take your breath away gorgeous!  She had them shot at a nice mansion in Lookout Valley/ Tiftonia TN. We haven’t yet uploaded those to the blog though. Soon we will be searching through out external hard drive for those babies because they are to pretty to kept hidden away! Plus we need them to make prints for the 2013 Bridal Affair Show that we will have a booth in on February 17th 2013.

Tiffany & Mark got married on June 1st which was a Friday. We love Friday weddings! We really do. Skye was 8 months pregnant and about as big as a house. But that didn’t stop the great photo taking that Bloom does.  The ceremony and reception were at the Tennessee River Place. Its so pretty out there. Right on the TN river and its in the green lush valley of the pretty Chattanooga mountains. The weather was more than perfect and everything was set up to perfection. When we think of a late Spring wedding this is the type of wedding that comes to mind.

Mark and his men were looking as fresh as ever! (Yes, we just used the word fresh) Tiffany and her ladies were breath taking. FOR REAL! You’ll soon see below when you see these photos. They had a bag pipe player there and everything. This wedding was balling! It really was. They said their I Do’s, Kissed and headed over to the reception where everyone danced the night away. Literally! DJ Scuba Steve kept the tunes a comin. He’s great at what he does! But before the night came to an end Mark had a super fun surprise up his sleeve. Tiffany loves some Beiber!  So mark  had a hat spray painted with  Justin Bieber   nd DJ Scuba Steve played a Beiber song while Mark danced around and sang to it and the guarder toss took place. It was great! It really was!

Meet Ashlee and Marshall! They look familiar huh? Probably because we did their engagement photos last summer of 2011. Ashlee  and Marshall are kind of like the perfect fairy tale couple. Marshall is so laid back and easy going and Ashlee is so kind and sweet. Plus a bonus to the both of them is that they are way good looking!

Their wedding was set at Marshal’ls families properties farm in Birchwood,TN. Talk about GOR-GEOUS. AH! Take our breath away! Perfect weather, over looking a gorgeous lake nestled in a pasture through a thicket of trees was where the ceremony and reception was held. It was a southern, country  rustic,  affair with tons of personal touches! So sit back with some country music turned on and be ready to fall in love with the new Mr. & Mrs. Marshall Berry.
